Joseph J. Anania, Jr. Managing Member

Established by Mr. Anania in 1998, JEMA provides high quality, personal consultation services and strategies to the owner/ manager throughout all stages of a business: startup, operations and disposition. Mr. Anania’s expertise extends beyond the structuring and implementation of innovative and strategic business models and corporate governance.

Mr. Anania brings to JEMA a diversified tax and consulting background, gained through his many years as the Tax Partner in Charge of; the New York Office of Spicer and Oppenheim, the New York office of Deloitte & Touche Middle Market Division, and the New Jersey office of BDO Seidman.   While in public practice Mr. Anania has assisted local and national real estate developers and operators in all phases of efficient tax structuring, organization, sale and /or syndication, reorganization and refinancing.

Middle Market business owners require from their advisors a sense of "been there, done that".  As the chief financial officer and executive committee member of an east coast supplier to semiconductor and critical environment OEM’s, Mr. Anania steered this organization to a successful sale in 2001. As in any sales transaction preparation for this process included identifying issues and or impediments to sale, planning the solution and implementing the strategy.

Since 2001 Mr. Anania and JEMA have been providing management consulting services to a select group of clientele.  He  has been published in numerous nationally published Journals, including The Journal of Real Estate Accounting and Taxation, The Journal of Real Estate Taxation, The Journal of Real Estate Development and The Tax Accounting Journal.

In addition Mr. Anania has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times, while appearing as a guest on CNN and other national television and radio broadcasts.
